Customers Now Receive a Free SSL Certificate with Hosting
Starting July 20, all customers on our hosting plans will automatically receive free HTTPS encryption for any content hosted on our servers. No action is needed from you — we’ll handle the setup.
At Moving Forward Digital, we believe your website should be secure, trusted, and ready for growth — right out of the box. That’s why we’re now including free SSL certificates with every hosting plan we offer.
Whether you’re launching a new site or already hosting with us, your domain will automatically receive a secure HTTPS connection — no extra setup or cost required.
Why SSL Matters
An SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate encrypts the connection between your website and your visitors, protecting sensitive data such as contact forms, payments, and login information.
But more importantly, Google favors secure sites in search rankings — so enabling HTTPS not only protects your customers but also helps improve your SEO visibility and user trust.
How It Works
- Every domain hosted on Moving Forward Digital’s managed servers will automatically receive a free SSL.
- Certificates renew every 90 days, with automatic renewals, so your site remains protected at all times.
- If you already use a paid SSL certificate, don’t worry — it will stay active until it expires, after which you can switch to our complimentary SSL or renew your premium one.
Note: The free SSL option doesn’t include a warranty or site seal. For businesses seeking additional validation, we also offer Positive SSL and EV SSL certificates with higher trust levels.
What You Should Do Next
Once your SSL is active, we recommend:
- Updating your website to redirect all traffic from
http://tohttps://. - Verifying that all images, styles, and scripts are loaded securely.
- Refreshing your sitemap and submitting it to Google Search Console for better indexing.
A Safer Web Starts Here
At Moving Forward Digital, your security is our priority. This upgrade ensures every hosted website is compliant with modern browser requirements — while boosting your professional credibility and search performance.
If your site isn’t yet showing as “secure,” don’t worry — we’re rolling out SSLs to all accounts over the next few days.
